1997: ArtSpark, Oakland, California. One of five visual artists chosen to lead a hands-on workshop directed toward public school teachers. Instructed teachers of varying disciplines and grade levels on using visual arts in the classroom to teach academic subjects offering students an alternative means of communication, understanding and response to academic material.
1996: Processes of Abstraction, California College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland, California. Artist’s lecture on current body of work.
1994: Oakland, California. Collaborative effort with Oakland public high school students, culminating in a billboard of evoked personal responses to media’s portrayal of urban teenage culture (displayed in the downtown business district).
